I couldn’t help but do some stripe pillows for Spring! It was so much in the air.
My spring production has just come in and they are really beautiful and refreshing. Will redo my home decor with some bright stripes along with some patterns.
Already thinking of my Fall 2012 collection and might have to put some more stripes into work!
I bought the book ‘The Paris I Love’ at the Marc Jacobs Bookstore, on Bleecker Street. It is a very old book from the 50’s. I really love that book store because the buyer must go to lots of flea markets to pick up rare vintage books. Many of the ones I want to own cost 100’s of dollars. Once and a while I will treat myself to a rare book.
I love Paris and have worked for companies there in the 90’s with lots of monthly trips. So I know the city very well. I also have two wonderful boys , 15 and 9 who speak french fluently . Their dad is French and they both go to the Lycee Francais in New York.

This week, I discovered a nice concept store at Montréal, in Canada: ‘Lola And Emily’ was launched in August, 2001 and is situated Boulevard Saint-Laurent. It is a women’s clothing and accessories boutique. They have a lot of multinational brands with a nice selection of decoration accessories.

I love the design mix of this room: the sofa, the wallpaper and the floor. It’s the ‘family bar’ of Francis Ford Coppola’s house, published in The World of Interiors (March 2012).
The wallpaper is from Le Manach Fabric, reproduced from a 1925 silk. Probably, a fabric coming from the Irish Arts and Crafts movement (1886-1925): this movement is a ‘reaction against the styles that were developed by machine production’.
My pillows are made by hand and we use a 2,500-year-old artisanal embroidery technique. I am proud to use this technique since my beginnings. Every day, we work very hard with Indian artisans so you can appreciate the quality of my products.
